Tanner Berryhill

Tanner Berryhill is the full-time driver of the No. 97 Toyota in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.

Native to Bixby, Oklahoma, Berryhill grew up racing Bandoleros, sprint cars, and midgets. He started in Bandoleros at age 11 and then Legend cars at Texas Motor Speedway. Berryhill has competed in the Chili Bowl Nationals several times over the years, winning a heat race in 2016.

He made his debut in NASCAR competition in 2011, driving in seven K&N Pro Series East races before moving to the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2012. In 2014, Berryhill ran the whole Xfinity Series season with his family’s race team and finished 22nd in points. In total, Berryhill has 40 starts in the Xfinity Series.

In 2018, Berryhill made his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut with Obaika Racing, competing in the final two races of the season at ISM Raceway and Homestead-Miami Speedway.

In 2019, Berryhill will be a candidate for the MENCS Rookie of the Year award.
